History

“IMEP was founded in 1997 as a University Studies Centre attached to Elche Miguel Hernández University, considered one of the most important public universities in Spain”.

During its evolution of more than 20 years, IMEP has become a reference centre at a national level, since it is the first one to offer official university qualifications in Event Organisation, Protocol and Institutional Relations.

Throughout its history, IMEP has advocated a high-quality training model, academically rigorous and adapted to the new market needs. This philosophy has allowed our centre to receive over 1,000 students, who achieved a first-class qualification to work as professionals specialised in the areas of Event Organisation, Protocol and Institutional Relations.

All through these years of operation, IMEP has also endeavoured to strengthen its values as a university centre with a Mediterranean ambience. This Mediterranean identity is present both in its philosophy (open and multidisciplinary) and in its location in Alicante, one of the regions with the greatest development in such a strategic sector as is Tourism, especially linked to Event Organisation, Protocol and Institutional Relations.
