Director’s Welcome

Welcome to the Mediterranean Institute for Protocol Studies (IMEP for its initials in Spanish), the first Higher Studies centre in its speciality, associated with Elche Miguel Hernández University, one of the most prestigious Spanish public universities.

We are convinced that choosing a degree is a difficult decision that will influence your professional and personal future. Hence why IMEP, as a higher education centre in the areas of Event Organisation, Protocol and Institutional Relations and with more than two decades of academic excellence, starts a new era with the challenge of being ahead of our time and transforming our university centre into a modern institution adapted to the present day, with a forward-looking approach, innovating in our academic proposals and fulfilling our main aim: turning the individuals who study at IMEP into competent professionals, highly qualified experts able to devise, organise, manage and conduct all sorts of events.

This would not be possible without the devotion and dedication shown by the whole human team at IMEP, teachers committed to satisfying the needs of the people who entrust their training to this institution. Studies complemented with the most representative firms and professionals on active service in the sector, with real practice periods and with career opportunities for our students.

We are very lucky to be located in the Alicante province, at the Costa Blanca, which, for a variety of reasons ‒environment, climatology, communications, quality of life and culture‒ is one of the most interesting sites to live, and accordingly to study, in Spain, as well as in Europe.

After all of the above, it only remains for me to say: welcome to IMEP’s website, where you can find thorough information about the centre, about its teaching staff, as well as the various training programmes that we have at your disposal, designed to provide excellent integrated training in one of the professions of greatest interest and with the highest employment potential nowadays.
